As mentioned earlier in these commentaries, Bran the Blessed was supposedly the father of Caractacus the British king who rebelled against Claudius Caesar and lived out his last days an honored captive in Rome. Brought to Rome among several of Caractacus' family, Bran became a Christian and eventually returned to Britain to evangelize ... just as Giles eventually returned to England after serving as Buffy's Watcher. |
